FERWACOTAMO is constituted by 14 unions and 124 Primary cooperatives with Around 80,000 affiliated members as achievement, the subsector succeed on the following : (i) Increase in the income of its members, (ii) Facilitation of motorcyclist to find motorcycle license and own motorbikes,(iii) Pursuing member motorbikes stealed, (iv) Partnership with Airtel : One part is the Moto Jacket, as a safety measure, Mobile payments solutions for clients ,(v) Road safety education campaign, (vi) Various services depending on the needs most is to be in line with, RTDA, National Police and RURA.
The federation needs to be assisted in the following services : Members do not have the skills about their cooperative and Mismanagement within motorcyclist cooperatives, Difficulties in monitoring motorcyclists, Few Parking issues in the City of Kigali, as Injustice faced by moto drivers, Careless motorcyclists causing accidents through dangerous maneuvers, alcohol abuse and speeding, Working without insurance Motorcyclists, Procedure to settle disputes among cooperative members, Training facility to members at lowest cost, Advocacy and linkage of banks with cooperatives members to get access to loans, Field visits by NCCR to get to know the ground and Advocacy with Police for unfair parking issues to avoid fines.
